new table...

So here are the after pics of the new kitchen table...I took the pictures in our living room because it has much better light than in the kitchen, however the table will not be living here :)  I found the chairs over a year ago at Goodwill for $6 each and love them.  I am not sure they are a perfect "fit" with the table, but for the time being both the table and chairs are functional.

I painted the table in "Down Pipe" from Farrow & Ball (paint-matched as a Behr color).  I LOVE the color and we agreed that our kitchen cabinets will look great in that shade.  That will probably be our next major project.

weekend in pics....

Hello all!  We had a pretty toned-down weekend here.  Miss Paetyn sprained her ankle on Thursday and had to be on crutches all weekend, so we had to change Jeremiah's birthday and our weekend plans. 

And the weather was a little touch-and-go all weekend, so we did some fun indoor activities including the above "Many Faces of Maddux" photo shoot and some painting.

Paetyn has a art contest at school so we decided to sit down and make some exceptional art :)

They also made these a few weeks ago and I framed them in a pair of vintage frames I found at Goodwill for $3.99 each and hung them upstairs in the hall leading to the kiddos bedrooms.  Top one is Maddux's and bottom one is Paetyn's.
