I don't know about you, but this week was just plain ol' crummy! Nothing bad really happened, but it felt like I got a metaphorical spank every day :( Sometimes life is just like that I guess...So, I am picking some pics so I can regain "my happy place." Have a happy weekend all!
Look what we discovered on Meg in time for Valentine's Day!?! It was a little thrilling to us to find a heart-shaped Dalmatian spot on her cute little face :) She has WAY more spots than she did a few months ago, so I wanted to make sure to get it on camera before it changes (if it does). We thought it was pretty special :)I am tuckered out from making 45 homemade Valentine's Day cards for the kids and all their pals. We did this idea from Pinterest:But...when I downloaded the format it printed out all blurry :( So we made up our own version which actually has a heart in the middle which the kiddos got to color at their hearts' content for each friend. We broke it up into two evenings (so we could avoid any coloring-exhaustion breakdowns) but I think they turned out pretty cute. I got all the supplies at the $1Store including the cardstock and glow bracelets. Score! Hopefully I can share before Friday. Have a great week!
We don't get a lot of snow here in Portland, but when we do, it's a doozy! It snowed here Thursday, Friday, and Saturday so we spent a lot of time outside with sleds and shovels. Maddux was also busy-busy this weekend...he loves doing art (what 5-year-old doesn't?) and he got a nice pair of handy toddler scissors and paper galore so he created another snow storm (but inside the house):There are at least 50 of these floating around our house right now :) I plan on keeping each and every one to make a garland for next years holidays? If you have a great suggestion, will you please email it to me at: ladybirdandfellow@yahoo.com? Stay warm and cozy :)
Hi all,
I am the first to admit that I don't really know how to dress. Even with my time at Anthropologie I never really learned how to get that "style" although I was surrounded by it all the time and have very stylish friends. Somehow, I didn't get the gene that allows for good decisions with what shoes to wear with what shirt/skirt/dress/blouse/whatever. But, one of my new years resolutions is to make a little more effort for cuteness. I have a closet of Anthro clothes but I still go for the comfy t-shirt, cardigan, boyfriend jeans and ballet flats (especially for work). Not that that is bad, but not my best. But, Pinterest can show me the way to effortless style and I can write down notes (and nobody can see me and make fun) :) I am also working a little on my weight (I am currently 140 pounds...but, hey, after 4 kids I figure that's not too bad). But I want to lose 10-15 pounds to feel 'comfortable' in my skin again after all these years. I think now that I have committed to it on L&F, it will come true, right??!?These are the spring looks I am going to try for:
