fort!...

The kiddos have been begging for a sleep over (how can you say "no" when your kids want to spend even more time together?) so Jeremiah made them a nice fort on Friday for a sleepover.  He makes the best forts (per Paetyn).  For total fort-fun we added some twinkle lights on top, had mac n cheese for dinner, set out snacks, and had a "Team Umizoomi" marathon.

i may start drinking...

Okay, let me get something straight here...I don't really drink...at all.  But, I could start if I had a cute little bar cart like these!  I love a good bar cart and have been collecting some things at thrift stores and other shops to get me started.  I love how whimsical and grown-up they are all at the same time :).  Need more inspiration?  Here ya go:

gulp. gulp. :)

Cronuts...

Have you heard of these things?  I first read about them here on one of my daily blog reads and then I was thrilled to find the recipe printed in the Oregonian newspaper!  They are all the rage and my hubs was kind enough to give em' a go!  On Sunday when I stole the kids away to Multnomah Falls Jeremiah whipped these up...don't they look yummy?  They are a combination of croissant dough and the idea of donuts (with a custard filling and lemony glaze).  They were pretty sweet and filling...even the donut holes could fill a sweet tooth's' tummy!  Let's just say the plate is now gone (including a little elf who came over to our house in the middle of the day to drop some stuff off and stole 1 or 2...you know who you are...HANNAH!)  :)  The recipe is pretty in-depth so if you want it send me an email at ladybirdandfellow@yahoo.com and that will give me an excuse to type it all up! :)

Hope you are having a great week all!

the Falls...

hello friends!!!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend...we sure were busy!  Today we visited Multnomah Falls and the fish hatchery with friends.  It was perfect weather at the falls and we had a nice picnic lunch and fish-fun at the hatchery.  Sarah and her fam are adorable and the kiddos are all about the same age which = total fun!  PS-this is the same "Sarah" who gave me injections for the in-vetro process with the twins.  So glad she's still friends with me after looking at my toosh everyday for 100 days :)
