our littlest love...

 

 

Now...technically, she isn't our littlest in age or size (she's older than both the kiddos and size-wise bigger than the hamster, Penelope) but she's our little babe.  Jack Russell terriers are a wonderful breed and we couldn't have picked anyone better out of her litter.  She is our little snuggler, nanny, crumb hunter, neighborhood watcher, and night-time barker (she is constantly growling and barking in her sleep).  Here's to you Tonka, our little love.

Last Monday Portland got a new baseball team, the "Hillsboro Hops!"  They are a farm team for the Arizona Diamondbacks and we were excited last year when we heard Hillsboro was going to build a stadium for the new minor league team.  Jeremiah used to play baseball in college so he is a pretty big baseball fan and since Seattle is the closest baseball team, we get our kicks where and when we can ;)

We bought a 8-game pass and made it to the opening home game in Hillsboro.  Got a babysitter and had a fun night out complete with seats right behind home plate.

nifty thrifties...

Hi!  Lately I have had a lot of luck thrifting.  I am keeping an eye out for renewal stuff/wedding rental items for my great friend Hannah who is starting her own business so that she can stay home with her beautiful daughter :)  My first find was this great vintage art easel pictured above for $30!  Can you believe it?  Me neither.  Here are some more fun finds (ps-everything was under $4 each)!

Brass apples...I am just drawn to these.  I found these on 3 different days at 3 different thrift shops :)  I am always going to keep an eye out for them now!

Last but not least I have been picking up vases and bud jars that have interesting shapes and no designs on them.  I have probably collected about 50 so far and all under $1 each!

party picks...

Summer feels like it's in full swing around here and the weather has been awesome so we've been doing a lot of work in the backyard which makes my mind wander to our September parties...P's 7th birthday and the renewals (which will be in the SAME weekend...eek!).  I love to plan little get-togethers like this and although they come few and far between, it's a lot of fun for me :)
